PokeSurvivor WIN

FIELD GUIDE / POKESURVIVOR

PokeSurvivor FAQ

Quick answers about controls, saves, move slots, evolutions and collecting partners. For account problems, use the official game’s support options.
Is PokeSurvivor free to play?

Yes. You can play the official game in a browser without downloading a client. This fan guide is also free to browse.

How do I move and switch attacks?

Use WASD or the arrow keys to move, 1–4 or Q/E to switch your active move, and Esc to pause. On a phone or tablet, play in landscape, drag to move and tap a move to select it.

Do my attacks fire automatically?

Yes. The active slot triggers attacks automatically; other slots do not cast together unless combined by a Bond. Existing projectiles and timed buffs can persist after switching. Choice Band prevents ordinary slot switching while equipped.

Will guest progress be saved?

Guests do not keep permanent progress. With an account, the game records changes in the current browser first and schedules cloud uploads after about 30 minutes with pending changes. Before closing or changing devices, press Save at the top right and check that pending progress clears. A recent upload may briefly delay another one. This fan site cannot recover a game save.

How do I evolve a move?

Reach level 5 with an eligible move and take its required stat card during that run. Then look for its gold evolution card. For example, Ember needs Power to evolve into Fire Blast.

Can I play PokeSurvivor with friends?

The game supports co-op for up to four players through its friends list and room invitations. Manage rooms and invitations inside the official game.

Does the 5-star guarantee give me a particular Pokémon?

No. Pity guarantees a rarity, not a species. Each regional banner tracks pity separately; at 69 pulls without a 5-star result, the next pull is guaranteed 5-star. Any 5-star result resets that banner’s counter.

Are ten single pulls the same as a ten-pull?

No. A ten-pull has a separate last-result guarantee if the first nine results contain no 4-star or 5-star Pokémon. Ten single pulls do not receive that batch guarantee.

Which partner should I try first?

Start with a partner whose opening attack is easy for you to aim while moving. Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur introduce different attack styles. Use the Pokédex to compare their starting stats, then focus one evolution before spreading upgrades across several moves.

Does the tier list show the strongest Pokémon?

The upper board is your own ranking. Below it, our S–D recommendations cover species in the captured leaderboards, with current move routes, player discussions and dated results considered at comparable investment. Grades are editorial, not calculated from survival times. A capture date does not establish the build used for each run; Group times describe whole teams rather than individual strength.

What happens at minute 30?

The Judgment of Arceus begins at 30:00 once any current Rift or card choice has finished. Arceus is invulnerable: dodge its attacks and the escalating legendary waves. New Rifts stop opening at 28:00.

Is PokeSurvivor WIN the official game website?

No. This is an independent fan guide. The game is hosted at pokesurvivor.com, which operates its own accounts, saves and multiplayer features.

Do physical and special attacks use the same stat?

No. Physical moves use physical attack and the target’s Defense; special moves use special attack and the target’s Special Defense. Swords Dance and Dragon Dance boost physical attacks, while Nasty Plot boosts special attacks. Check the selected partner in Level-up Cards.

Can I use a controller or aim manually?

Controllers can move, switch attacks, pause and operate menus; check Settings > Controls. Manual aim is a separate option in Settings > Accessibility and is off by default. It changes aiming direction, not automatic firing.

Can I change a partner’s starting move?

Yes. Buy Starting move for 400 coins in that partner’s Upgrades. You can then choose a non-buff move from its legal pool, or return to its default opening even when that is outside the ordinary pool. This guide shows defaults rather than your account selection.

Do single-type Pokémon get a damage bonus?

Yes. A partner with exactly one type deals 20% more damage with moves matching that type. Other move types do not receive it, and dual-type partners do not get this bonus.

Why does a co-op room keep reconnecting?

An accepted invitation does not guarantee a working game connection. Cross-network failures have been reported. Save your progress before refreshing, load the current official game on every device, create a fresh room and try another host. A different-network or same-Wi-Fi test can help isolate the problem, but no single step guarantees a connection. Stop if the room keeps retrying; the beginner guide has a fuller checklist.

Why did a projectile upgrade leave me with one shot?

Twelve new homing and bouncing moves have a projectile-count mismatch in the checked build. Their first +1 projectile upgrade still fires one shot. For bouncing moves, the extra bounce is a separate effect. Level-up marks the affected cards; the proposed fix is still open as of 20 October 2026. This does not change their evolution requirements.

What should I do if Save says pending or offline?

Stay on the device holding the new progress. Restore the connection if needed, press Save and wait for the game to confirm the upload. An upload within the last 65 seconds may queue another attempt rather than upload immediately. Avoid clearing site data or switching devices while changes remain pending. This fan site cannot inspect or repair your account.

I defeated a shiny. Why is it missing from my collection?

Check the same species, its Normal/Shiny control, collection filters and the account used for the capture. Then confirm Save completed on that device. In co-op, verify your own unlock rather than relying on a teammate’s result. A player report exists, but its cause is unconfirmed; these checks are not a promise of recovery.
