Take DownLv. 5 Tackle + Vigor
PARTNER FILE / #004 · KANTO
Charmander opens with Ember and uses the Fire and shared Normal card pools. As a single-type Fire partner, its damaging Fire moves receive the game’s 20% own-type bonus.

Physical and special attacks use different attack factors. Defense and special defense affect the matching incoming damage category; they are not flat percentages of damage blocked. Speed is the game’s base movement value.

A fireball at the nearest enemy.
The 400-coin Starting move upgrade is bought separately for each partner. It lets you choose a legal non-buff opening; the default remains available. Learning another attack during a run does not automatically change the active slot.
As a single-type Fire partner, Charmander gets ×1.20 damage on damaging Fire moves. Normal alternatives and buffs do not inherit that bonus.
Move evolutions below upgrade an attack. They do not mean this partner changes into another Pokémon. For upgrade rules and slot choices, read the move evolution guide.
We would suggest Charmander for a projectile start with an obvious first evolution goal. Ember uses special attack and receives the single-type Fire bonus.
Its base HP and defenses leave little room for careless contact. A clear upgrade plan does not remove the need to move early.
No Charmander entry in this saved top 50. That alone does not establish a low tier.

These are priorities and alternatives, not three attacks you receive or fire together. The selected slot keeps casting; existing projectiles, placed fields and temporary buffs can remain after switching. Bonds let several moves keep casting from one selected group.
A buff cast adds a stack rather than instantly granting the maximum bonus. Refresh it, return to damage before it expires, or combine it with damage in a Bond. It affects your player, not the whole team. Do not pass up a useful damage upgrade just to complete this list.
Put early levels into the default. Power covers its Fire Blast evolution requirement.
Fire BlastLv. 5 Ember + Power
Orbiting Fire attacks offer another pattern for close enemies. They still need the active slot before a Bond combines them with another move.
Sacred FireLv. 5 Fire Spin + Synthesis
This matches Ember and Fire Spin. Add it after establishing damage, with brief refreshes or an active Bond.
If the cards do not cooperate: Without Fire Spin, stay with Ember. Flamethrower is a legal special alternative, but its Reflexes requirement is another evolution plan.
We would add a close clearer or a control player. Avoid sending two fragile partners to opposite sides just to line up attacks.
Bulbasaur’s close arc complements a projectile start. Charmander does not need to enter the melee pocket.
Squirtle can slow approaches while Charmander keeps Ember active; that is control, not shared Water healing.
Kanto pairings to try, not an all-roster co-op ranking or a tested best team. Each player manages their own active slot and buffs. A partner knowing a move does not mean it keeps casting throughout the run.
With automatic aiming, Ember aims toward the nearest enemy. Reposition if that target pulls shots away from the lane you need clear; manual aiming lets you direct supported attacks yourself.
Damaging Fire moves get the 20% bonus; a Normal fallback does not inherit it.
An unbonded Nasty Plot slot is not shooting. Switch back to damage after using the buff.
These are the cards this partner can learn, including its default attack. They are choices, not a loadout you receive at once. An evolution requires the base move at its maximum level and the listed stat card; attack names alone do not imply extra effects such as healing.
